I am a 37 yr old musician and a full time non-traditional college student residing in the midwest. I plan on becoming a Drug and Alcohol counselor eventually. I spent 12 years in active addiction and it was pure hell. The last 4 years of my life have been about getting to know myself and cleaning up the wreckage of my broken life. Addiction is an insidious disease which saps all positive energy and shackles the soul to illusions. I am extremly grateful to God for giving me the courage to persevere and arrest this crippling condition. Today I am fiilled with hope and this hope has turned into faith. If I was able to quit doing Cocaine and alcohol , I can accomplish anything. I am filled with love and gratitude today. I want to share my experience strength and hope with the world, so I can help others overcome their addictions and find their places in the world.
